The method that parts are gathered together with glue or threads is common in kusudama world.But in this experiment, Mio tried to use paper to assemble.

Mio created the work which is basic form in modular origami.

Explanation :
The green part with pattern and the pale green part are separate parts.A joining material is the green part. The form is a square.
The appearance is like a decoration part which is pasted the part of the design on.But these are necessary because it is impossible to get together into the whole without the parts, so are the reason called the joining materials.

Moreover, Mio tried to decorate the joining materials with decoration parts.Basic parts and joining parts and decoration parts, these parts of three kinds are used for the work.Parts in total are 90.
Of course they are joined only with paper (joining parts).
Ohm is the name of the joining part and Twirl is the name of the decoration part.

conclusion and summary

When paper is use to joining material, it can be that the base parts and joining parts are each different colors or patterns.And visual of the work became colorful more than usual.
A maker can express individuality by the choosing colors and patterns, and setting them together.Because it can be decorated with the parts of the decorations , the form is infinitely variable, and the works can be developed unlimitedly.

It is very fantastic to use paper as the joining parts.
