These works are variations of the ‘Mitsuwari Asanoha’, which is one size smaller than the standard tem tem temari.

While the Mitsuwari Asanoha is made from square paper, this simplified version uses paper half the size of a square.
It’s an easy-to-fold and eco-friendly variation.



通常のてんてんてまりよりも一回り小さくなる『三つ割麻の葉』のバリエーションです。
三つ割麻の葉は、正方形の紙から作りますが、このシンプルタイプは、正方形の半分の紙から作ります。
簡単な折り方かつエコなバリエーションです。

MEMO

This is one variation of the Mitsuwari Asanoha.

The color on the reverse side of the paper shows through like a pattern, so when folded using double-sided origami paper, it creates a very colorful finish.

The work’s name, ‘Mitsuwari Yamazakura’, comes from a family crest in Japanese.



三ツ割麻の葉のバリエーションのひとつです。
紙の裏面の色が模様のように出るので、両面折り紙で折ると、とても華やかに仕上がります。

作品名の『三つ割山桜』は家紋から。
