This is a type of kusudama that is tied together with parts using threads. This work was made in 2009.

The number of parts of bind type kusudama with thread is not clearly defined. The number of parts is adjusted by checking the whole shape when putting the whole piece together at the end.

The method of putting together of bind type is basically the same, using a needle and threads (the only difference is the number of parts). The way to put together the star anise is not shown in the drawing, but it will be used the diagram of Daphne odora as a reference.

The parts of the star anise are clean and sharp, and the entire surface of the flower is exquisitely curved. Even just one part is eye-catching. Whether you put it in a pencil holder or casually display it on your desk, it is sure to make you smile.



パーツを糸で括ってまとめるタイプのくす玉です。2009年の作品。

糸でくくるくす玉は、パーツの数がはっきりとは決まっていません。最後に全体をまとめるときに、形の様子をみながら、パーツの数を調整します。

また、糸でくくるくす玉のまとめ方は、針と糸を使うので、基本的にどれも同じです。（パーツの数が違うだけです）。スターアニスのまとめ方は、図面には掲載していませんが、沈丁花を参照にします。

スターアニスのパーツはすっきりとシャープで、花の表面全体の湾曲も絶妙です。ひとつのパーツだけでも、はっと目を引きます。鉛筆立てに挿しても、机の上にさりげなく飾っても、にんまりすること間違いなしです。

スターアニスはトウシキミの果実のこと。別名『八角』。八角形の香辛料です。
