This is a variation of the Mitsudomoe unit Deko. Two parts of different sizes are combined to make one part. No glue is needed when combining the parts or assembling them.

Misaki Rose, a variation of the Mitsudomoe Unit Deko, is also based on a rose motif, but the major difference between it and Lovely Blue Rose is the direction of rotation of the whorls.
Because the whorls in Lovely Blue Rose rotates counterclockwise, an additional fold is required that shifts the places of the pleats.
This folding process can get quite confusing until you get used to it. For this reason, it is slightly more difficult than Misaki Rose.

The name of this work, “Lovely Blue,” is an actual miniature rose variety, created by Mr. Hiroshi Hirabayashi (Keisei Rose Gardening, Japan) in 1996.



三つ巴ユニット凸のバリエーションです。サイズの違うふたつの部品を組み合わせて、ひとつのパーツを作ります。部品を組み合わせる時も、パーツを組むときも、接着剤は必要ありません。

三つ巴ユニット凸のバリエーション「みさきローズ」もバラをモチーフにした作品ですが、ラブリーブルーローズとの大きな違いは、渦の回転方向です。
ラブリーブルーローズは渦の回転方向が反時計回りのため、襞の場所を移動させるという折りが加わります。慣れるまでは結構こんがらがりやすい折り工程です。そのため、みさきローズよりも少し難易度が上がります。

作品名の『ラブリーブルー』は実際にあるミニチュアローズの品種。1996年、平林浩氏（京成バラ園芸、日本）の作出。
