This is one of a series of “kusudama suite” works of “how to connect simple shapes” that I have been challenging since the early days of my creation activity.

All the works in the Kusudama suite are similar looking but how to connect is different.
The assembling way for this work is a little bit unique.

There is a work that using the same way of connect “Quadrille Natural type ver.Quarter square“.

“Dumka” is a folk song or instrumental music that was popular in some Slavic countries in the 19th century.



くす玉創作活動の初期からはまっている『いかに簡単な形をつなぐか』に挑戦している作品群「くす玉組曲」のひとつ。
くす玉組曲の作品はどれもみな同じような形をしてるけど、すべて別の作品。作品の名前はクラシック音楽の「組曲」のように、舞踊曲から引っぱってきています。
このドゥムカはフラップとポケットを使ってパーツをつなぎますが、とてもユニークなつなぎ方をします。

ドゥムカはスラブ系の伝統的な民謡、楽曲。のちにクラシックに取り入れられた。ドヴォルザークのスラヴ舞曲（作品72第4番）など。
