Kotemari Sakurai-zakura / 小てまり桜井桜

MEMO

This is a variation of the Kotemari Mukoy amazakura. Like the Kotemari Yume zakura, it is hollow inside.

A small flower with 10 petals blooms where the five parts are gathered.
Like the Kotemari Kikka, the larger petals could open further, but I didn’t have enough time to make this work. I might give it a try when I have some free time.

The title of this work, “Sakurai-zakura,” comes from a Japanese family crest.



小てまり向こう山桜のバリエーションです。こてまり夢桜と同じく、中が空洞になっています。

パーツが5つ集まるポイントに花弁が10枚の小さな花が咲きます。小てまり菊花のように、大きい花弁をさらに開くこともできますが、時間が足らずに作品が作れませんでした。暇があるときにでも、やってみようかな。

作品名の『桜井桜（さくらいざくら）』は家紋から。
