Suzaku Variation / 朱雀アレンジ

MEMO

These are modular pieces assembled without adhesive. The pieces are connected with arabesque joints.

Suzaku is a fairly old piece created in 2010.
When folding the parts normally, the two triangular mountains (parts differing in color from the whole) will show the color of the paper’s reverse side. In the sample piece, decorative parts are used to change the color.

The name “Suzaku” comes from Suzaku, a Chinese divine beast. Suzaku is one of the four gods (four sacred beasts) along with Seiryuu (the Azure Dragon) of the East, Byakko (the White Tiger) of the West, and Genbu (the Black Tortoise) of the North.

接着剤を用いずにパーツを組み立てるモジュラータイプの作品です。アラベスクジョイントでつなぎます。

朱雀は2010年に創作したかなり古い作品。
普通にパーツを折ると、ふたつの三角山（全体と色の違う部分）は、紙の裏面の色が出ます。見本の作品では、デコパーツを使って色を変えています。

名前の由来となっている『朱雀』は、中国の神獣。朱雀は、東の青龍・西の白虎・北の玄武と並ぶ四神（四神獣）の一つ。
