Summary / 作品概要

“Fancy frame” has three characteristics. / 「ファンシーフレーム」の3つの特徴

1. A part has no pockets. / ポケットはありません。

This is a modular type work assembled without glue, the joining method is “Arabesque-joint”.
Arabesque-joint makes each part be connected strongly.
The method is; a flap will be inserted into a pocket, in addition, the place of joint will have adding two foldings as be locked.
With respect to this work “Fancy frame”, the pocket is not pocket completely, it’s a just a gap.
But connected parts by “Arabesque-joint” do not come off easily.
That’s one of the interest things in making processes and you can enjoy it.



ファンシーフレームは接着剤を使わずにパーツを組み立てるモジュラータイプの作品で、「アラベスクジョイント」という方法を使ってパーツをつなげます。
この「アラベスクジョイント」というジョイニングメソッドは、フラップをポケットに差し込んだあと、そのジョイント部分に2度も折りを加えてロックするという、パーツ同士をとても強力に接合する方法で, とくにこの「ファンシーフレーム」では、一度パーツを繋ぐと、構造上、ちょっとやそっとじゃ外れなくなります。
実は「ファンシーフレーム」のパーツのポケットは「単なる紙の重なりのスキマ」だけなので、フラップをポケットに差し込んだだけでは、位置さえ安定しないゆるゆるの状態なのですが、「ロックする」という魔法がかかると「ガシッ」っと繋がります。
この不思議さは、組み立ての工程をさらに楽しくさせてくれます。

2. The work can be made with rectangle paper / 長方形の紙からでも作ることができます。

The work can be made with any rectangle paper that has a ratio of one (length) : 0.5 (width) and more.
The ratio of 1:0.5 is paper of half-square, cut square paper vertically.
The ratio of 1:2 is paper of half-square, cut square paper horizontally.

The photo of a variation work is making with a paper which is length is 8 cm and width is 5.5 cm, it’s memo pad.



「ファンシーフレーム」は縦横の比率が、”1 : 0.5″ 以上の紙なら、どんな長方形の紙からでも折ることができます。
1:1 が正方形の紙だとすると、”1 : 0.5″ の紙は、正方形の紙を縦に半分にカットした形です。 また”1 : 2″の紙は、正方形の紙を紙を横に半分にカットした形です。

バリエーションの写真の作品は、縦が8cm、横が5.5cm の、えらく中途半端な比率の紙で折っています。その辺にあったメモ用紙です。

3. Can be decorated with various decoration-parts. / 色々なデコレーションパーツで装飾可能です。

The work can be decorated with decoration parts made of paper without glue.
It’s must be fun decorating decoration parts to the work.
The work name comes from it.

ファンシーフレームはそのままでもかっちょいい(?)作品ですが、色々なデコレーションパーツで飾って楽しむこともできます。
デコレーションパーツをセットする工程も、接着剤は必要ありません。
